Setup & Takedown Team
The Team That Makes Sunday Happen
Our Setup & Takedown Team plays a vital role in making sure Sundays run smoothly.
Before anyone hears a song, receives prayer, or sits to hear the Word, this team has already been serving faithfully behind the scenes.
We meet at 8am and begin with a short time of prayer. Everything we do flows from that place. We are not just setting up equipment, we are preparing space for people to encounter God.
What the Morning Looks Like
After prayer at 8am:
• Some of the team unload the container
• Others begin bringing out tables and chairs from the cupboard
• Floors are hoovered and swept where needed
• Spaces are prepared for different ministry areas
It is usually busy at the beginning, then slows as jobs are completed.
Once your tasks are finished, you are free to leave and return for the start of the service. We simply ask that you let the team leader know before you head off.
Clear communication helps everything run smoothly.
What We Set Up
Each Sunday we prepare:
• Welcome Table
• Refreshments Area
• Kids Work Space
• Nursing Mums Area
• PA & AV Equipment
• Chairs and Tables
• Banners
Every role matters. A well set out room creates warmth. A working PA allows worship to flow. A prepared kids area gives parents peace of mind.
Skilled & Unskilled Roles
This team includes a mixture of skilled and unskilled roles.
Some areas, such as PA and AV, require experience and training. Others simply require willingness, reliability, and a servant heart.
You do not need to be technical to serve. You just need to be available and ready to help.
The Heart of the Team
This is not just manual work. It is ministry.
We serve with:
• Faithfulness
• Energy
• Team spirit
• Flexibility
Some weeks are smoother than others. Some Sundays feel busier. Through it all, we serve together with joy, knowing we are helping create an environment where lives can be changed.
If you are practical, willing, and want to play a vital part in church life, this team is for you.
