We believe that God is calling us to build a vibrant, ethnically and socially diverse Church, a Church where Jesus is glorified, a Church where we encounter the Holy Spirit, a Church where God's heart for the poor is clearly demonstrated and the lost and hurting receive salvation and healing from Jesus.
We summarise our vision statement as
Love God | Love People | Love The Nations
To build a church where we love God, enjoy Him together and give ourselves to Him wholeheartedly.
To build a church where we love those who are part of the church already and is seeking to love those who are not yet part of the church. This will include seeking to serve the poor, the broken and lost.
Love The Nations
To build a church who have a passion for taking the gospel to the ends of the earth and will support churches/agencies that are seeking to serve other nations.
On Sunday 20th Janaury 2019, Scott spoke from Isaiah 54 as we seek to think about "Increase and Release".
This year we are foscussing o2n the following areas:-
1. Be intentional
Acts 17:26 - God has decided where you will be, and he has placed you there for purpose. We are called to Intentional about how we love people and share Jesus.
2. Increase our social action
Martin Charlesworth said “If Foodbank is the A&E, we now need the hospital” at the recent Jubilee+ conference. Alongside provocation we have received a number of prophetic encouragements to increase how we serve the poor. We are looking at how we do this goign forward.
3. Seek to care for the whole person
Loving the Nations
1, Support and pray for the Giles
We want to increase our relationsip with Graham and Sarah in Zimbabwe.
2. Send and support Rachel Hobson
We have an exciting opportunity this year to extend our reach into the nations. We get to pray for her, support her financially and provide ongoing support as one of our family goes to the Nations
3. Love the Nations in Leicester
Living in Leicester means that we have the Nations on our doorstep in a unique way. We are called to love the people Jesus has placed around us.
