Prayer
We believe that prayer is one of our greatest privileges. As we pray we get to partner with God on an amazing journey to see men, women and children redeemed; to see a city impacted and a Nation changed. A journey that began in the heart of the Father before the foundation of the world.
Martin Luther put it like this ‘Prayer is not overcoming God's reluctance, but laying hold of His willingness.’
As we pray we come to a God who is able to do “more than we ask or imagine”. As CH Spurgeon said ‘To pray is to enter the treasure-house of God and to gather riches out of an inexhaustible storehouse.’
We want to be a people who enjoy prayer and see massive transformation in our city as we pray together.
Our corporate prayer life is focussed around our prayer events.
Early Morning:
Every Monday morning (in term time) we gather to pray between 6am-6.45am at Manor House Community Centre. These meetings are generally themed around praying for specific areas.
Week 1: Community including Manor House & Social Action.
Week 2: Mosaic Church including Sundays and events.
Week 3: Families including our kids and youth groups.
Week 4: Nations including friends who are overseas.
Week 5: Government in our Nation and City.
Encounter Quarter:
Once a quarter we gather at Manor House. These times are shaped around worship and prayer, where we expect to encounter God together, see situations transformed and receive fresh revelation of the Father’s direction for us.
Family Quarter:
Once a quarter we gather on a Sunday afternoon for interactive, all-age prayer time. It will be a time full of life, excitement and possibly quite a bit of noise with our amazing kids joining us.
Rowley Fields
With our friends at Christchurch URC we have recently started a quarterly prayer evening for Rowley Fields. This is open to all Christians who live on the estate.
